b m I ME N MYSELF, an acceptor in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Friday, 12th February, 2016 and was found to be lame on right hind. Under the circumstances the mare was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

SIGNIFICANT (Sk Israil) was fractious while being stalled.
JORELL (App Nikhil Naidu) fly jumped out from the gates.
AZZRAQ (App Hindu Singh) and ROMANCER (Md Imran) were slow to begin.
SANSGENE (App Md Azharuddin) was fractionally slow to begin.

An enquiry was held immediately after the running of the race with particular reference to the fall of SANSGENE (App Md Azharuddin) approaching the 600 metres. At the conclusion of the enquiry it was established that the fall was accidental and no blame could be attributed to an y rider. The ‘All Clear’ signal was ordered to be hoisted. App Md Azharuddin was examined by the Medical Officer and declared unfit to continue with his riding engagements for the day. The filly was examined by the Veterinary Officer and it having sustained right pelvic fracture was euthanized.

Trainer Mr. D M David when afforded an opportunity to explain the poor performance of his charge SUPREME RULER stated that he had instructed the jockey to place his charge in a forward position in the early and middle stages of the race and on enquiring with the rider as to why his charge performed so disappointingly he was informed that when asked for an effort the colt appeared to choke and thereafter did not accelerate. Mr. David further informed that he would be enquiring along with veterinary assistance into the poor run of the colt and threafter would inform the Stipendiary Stewards of his findings. The Jockey corroborated the trainer’s statement and the Stipendiary Stewards made note of their statements. Subsequent to the race day Mr. David reported that the colt on being scoped was found to suffer from paralysis of the larynx which would require an operation.
