Racing Incidents

 

As Jockey Martin Wepner was certified medically unfit to ride after his fall before the third race, permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Britto to substitute Jockey Valdir De Sousa to ride SHADES OF SCARLET in place of the declared rider.

FRENEMEE (G.Y. Rajesh Babu) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced SIMRA (R. Vaibhav) on its inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

Jockey D. Patel, the rider of AMAZON BAY, was reprimanded for riding an indifferent race.

WAR ARTIST (Irvan Singh) accidentally struck the false rails approaching the 800 Metres whereby the right stirrup iron broke, the rider got totally unbalanced and was dislodged from his mount.

Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu, the rider of FRENEMEE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and forcing his passage thereby taking out FANTASTIC STRIKE (Liam P Jones)on his outside passing the 600 Metres.

Jockey A. Velu, the rider of CASH IS KING, was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.
