Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Z Darashah to withdraw BORN ELECTRIC (V R Jagdeesh) on veterinary grounds as it was observed to have sustained left eye corneal injury and opacity. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey P Trevor, the rider of ALCHEMIST, placed Second by the Judge, lodged an objection against Jockey F F Da Silva, the rider of OSCAR SPARKLER, placed First by the Judge, for “into the straight, the winner moved out from the rails and as I was making my move along the inside, he saw me coming and moved in again, thereby, I had to check my mount abruptly and make a re-run from the outside”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the Race and examined the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.

Jockey F F Da Silva, the rider of OSCAR SPARKLER, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not maintaining a straight course, approaching 200 metres.
