Jockey Praveen Saini, the rider of CHANDINI, was fined Rs.3,000/- for not making sufficient effort to improve his position between the 1400 Metres till about the 600 Metres, of the above Race.  
 
Trainer Mr. P C Tejaswi was questioned regarding the relatively improved performance of his charge NAVAL GLORY( Syed Waseemuddin), the winner of the above Race as compared to its previous run in Race No. 65 of the Mysore Summer Races 2017, i.e., The Paschimvahini Plate (About) 1600 Metres for horses rated 60 and above, run on Ninth Day, Tuesday, 18th July, 2017, when ridden by Jockey S R Santosh Kumar, it ran unplaced. He stated as follows; a) His charge was a very consistent runner this season, having won two races and finished fourth in another Race; b) It had run similarly in its previous run, but as it got very keen, the rider had not been able to keep it back and it fizzled out in the Straight; c) He had got a drop of two points and utilised a four Kg allowance Jockey and was ideally placed in handicap; d) None of the runners in the above Race, barring EXTRA SPARK and CASTLE KING had run a Mile and Quarter Race before and going by the handicap, he thought that his charge may run a good Race, but did not expect it to win the Race. While noting his explanations, he was cautioned to maintain consistency in the running of his charges in future.
 
NEW WORLD (R Ajay Kumar) sustained deep injury on left hind hock and clipped injury on right hind fetlock.
 
MARKUS SITTIKUS (P Kiran Rai) sustained cut injury on left fore outer cannon.
