Racing Incidents

SWISS QUEEN (G Adarsh) was extremely fractious, reared up and sustained very deep cut on right fore cannon at the Starting Gate. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s Order.  Trainer Mr. M Pratap Kamath was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Shiva Kumar, the rider of HIGHLAND BOUNTY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for travelling wide between the 800 Metres till rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of DROP OF HONEY, was fined Rs.5,000/- for not making sufficient efforts on his mount during the Race. He was further informed in the presence of Trainer Mr. Tharun Thimmaiah that a repetition of similar manner of riding will entail him being reported to the Stewards for severe disciplinary action.
