Racing Incidents

Jockey R Rayan Ahmed, the rider of SARDINIA, reported that his mount was not galloping fluently throughout the Race; The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. 

Jockey Chethan Gowda was questioned by the Stipendiary Stewards, in the presence of Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa as to his riding, on his mount ASCENDENT, in the above Race. Not being satisfied with his explanation, Jockey Chethan Gowda was fined Rs.3,000/- for not making sufficient effort to ride out his mount, in the straight. He was informed that a repetition of a similar manner of riding would entail him being reported to the Stewards for appropriate action.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner,  b m QUEEN OF TURF.
