Racing Incidents

At the start, BELLAGIO (K Narender Kr.)  lost about two lengths.

An enquiry has been opened into loss of whip by App. Jockey Varun (ALEX) at about 200 meters.

Trainer S Nawab and Jockey K Sunny Kr. were questioned regarding running and riding of ASHWA KANIKA and not being satisfied with their explanation they were reported to the Stewards after the last race.

The Stewards considered the submission made by the Stipendiary Stewards and having viewed video recording of the race and heard the submission of Jockey K Sunny Kumar. and Trainer S Nawab who was not satisfied with the jockey riding, held jockey K Sunny Kr. guilty of UNSATISFACTORY RIDING.

In view of the above the Stewards decided:

1.    To suspend jockey K Sunny Kumar. license for 6 race days w.e.f 27/04/2025 to 30/04/2025 (Both days inclusive) and thereafter if he applies for a jockey license the Stewards may recommend his license which shall remain suspended for remaining four race days from the first day of racing season 2025-26.
2.    He was severely cautioned for future.

Veterinary examination of ASHWA KANIKA & EUPHORIA revealed no apparent abnormality.
