RITHAMBHRA (Janardhan Paswan) was slow to begin.

NOBLE DEFENDER (Sandeep Rajput) was inclined to hang ‘out’ pssing the 600 metres.

Approaching the 400 metres PASSIONATE (Pintu Das) and SIGNIFICANT (App Md Javed)  were tightened for room when ICE FANTASY (S Rabbani) travelling on their outside momentarily shifted ‘in’.  Jockey S Rabbani was advised to ensure that he left ample room for the horses galloping on his inside before deciding to shift ‘inwards’.

Ms. Arti Doctor, the trainer of b f FLASH, when afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of her charge as compared to its previous outings stated that the filly had failed to perform well when positioned ‘off’ the early pace in its previous run.  In this race she had instructed the rider to make every effort to lead the field and this obviously had the desired effect.  She further added that that she was pleasantly surprised with the victory as the stable had not fancied the filly’s chance to win.   When queried as to whether she would issue similar instructions to her jockey in the filly’s future runs, the trainer stated that she would do so.  The Stipendiary Stewards while noting the explanation informed the trainer of her responsibility to ensure that her charges run with a degree of consistency between the runs and that in this instance she was being given the benefit of doubt.

Tr. Sabeel Shariff and Tr. Shafiq Khan were fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/- each for their carelessness in presenting their respective charges RITHAMBHRA and AMERICAN PIE to the parade ring with saddles having been interchanged.  Further, they were informed that a similar lackadaisical attitude towards their responsibilities would be dealt with severely.
