AVISION (Shailesh Shinde) was slow to begin.

At an enquiry held after the last race into the running and riding of AL ATTATURK ridden by Jockey Janardhan Paswan and trained by Mr. Sabeel Shariff, Mr. Janardhan Paswan was found guilty for infringement of Rule 159(b) in that on entering the straight when in clear running he failed to infuse adequate vigour to his riding thereby ensuring that his mount was not given full opportunity to win or to obtain the best possible place in the field.  Further, the Stewards not being satisfied with the explanations tendered by Tr. Sabeel Shariff in that he was unable to give any plausible explanation and repeatedly flip flopped with his answers to the query as to whether he was satisfied with the running and riding of his charge,  resolved to :-

1. Suspend the Jockey’s license granted to Mr. Janardhan Paswan from 25^th February to 24^th August, 2014 under Rule 159(b).  The Jockey is not permitted to ride work during the period of his suspension.

2. Fine trainer Mr. Sabeel Shariff a sum of Rs. 50,000/- for the unsatisfactory running of his charge AL ATTATURK

Both Tr. Sabeel Shariff and Jockey Janardhan Paswan were informed of their right to appeal.

The Veterinary Officer reported that ACCURATE returned  bleeding from both nostrils.  Tr. Bharath Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until passed fit by the Veterinary Officer.
