Trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi was fined a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only), by the Stewards for having entered his charge EDDIE THE EAGLE and not accepting it to run, in the above Race.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Vinesh V Naik to substitute Jockey Imran Chisty to ride NEVADA GOLD in place of Jockey Vivek G, the declared rider.

MACRON (P Trevor) dropped its rider and bolted, on its way to the Starting Gates. Under the circumstance, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders.

NEVADA GOLD (Imran Chisty) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start; In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Vinesh V Naik was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in One Jump Out on a Starting Gate Practice Day.

MANDOLIN (Shrikant Kamble) knuckled soon after jumping out of the Starting Gates.

Trainer, Mr. Bobby M was fined Rs.5,000/- for discrepancy in shoeing, with respect to his charge, CONTRIBUTOR (L Alex Rozario), in the above Race. [1st Infringement].

Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of ASHWA VEDHA was fined Rs.3,000/- for excessive use of whip on his mount, in the above Race [1st Infringement].

Trainer, Mr. S Narredu and Jockey Vinod Shinde were questioned by the Stipendiary Stewards, regarding the running and riding of ASHWA VEDHA, immediately after the Race. The Trainer stated as follows;

a) He instructed his rider to take a good jump, get into a good position and do your best;
b) His rider came and told him that it was not showing enough speed in the initial stages and thereafter he said that he did not get a chance to come out due to a packed field;
c) This race was a Class II race and his charge was running for the first time and that he was satisfied with its performance;

While corroborating with the explanations tendered by Trainer Mr. S Narredu, Jockey Vinod Shinde added that due to a tight field entering the top of the Straight, he saw a gap on his outside and tried to come out, but the horse on his outside closed the gap and so he had to shift to the inside and ride out on the inside. He did his best and he excessively used the whip too. Despite his best efforts, he could only finish 2nd. Their explanations were noted for future reference.
